Just a short note to update you on the current position regarding Covid-19 and the playing of ISFL Fixtures. At this point in time the Management Committee feel it is unlikely that grassroots football, subject to changes in Government Regulations/Rules and approval by the FA, will recommence before the start of March. The ISFL returns on the 6th December with a full league programme, please make sure that you are covid compliant and in line with the revised FA and Govenment guidelines. Gainsborough and Whitton Sports Centres will only be open for the use of thier football pitches, no changing facilities will be available, only toilets. The centres will not open to anyone until 10.am As Gainsborough is being used as a Govenment vaccination centre, there will be strict guidelines in place regarding the parking

Confirmation has been received from Ipswich Borough Council that their Whitton and Gainsborough Sports centre pitches will be available for use for friendlies from 6th September. The ISFL season will now commence on October 4th. The changing facilities will NOT be in use your team must be in their playing kit on arrival. Toilets and handwashing facilities will be available. You will be required to follow all the guidelines that IBC have in place, this will include resident and non-resident clubs

Gordon Blake President and cofounder of the Ipswich Sunday football League passed away on November 2nd aged 88. Gordons funeral will take place at the Ipswich crematorium, Cemetery Lane, Colchester Road, Ipswich. The service will commence at 1.15 pm on Thursday November 21st. Gordon was actively involved in local football during his life, both with the ISFL and Suffolk FA. Private flowers only are requested, all are welcome to attend the wake at Gresham’s Sports Club Tuddenham Road Ipswich.
